Shift Pro Inc's quality control process includes build specification checks performed by four different specialized technicians during the remanufacturing process. The most common transmission swap with older Fords is from a C4, C6, or FMX to an AOD or manual 5-speed. All wear-prone valves in the completely remanufactured valve body are restored to stringent specifications and vacuum tested to verify proper function. During dynamometer testing, Shift Pro Inc transmissions are cold, hot, load, and road tested using a fully synthetic transmission fluid and filtration system. All dynamometer testing is conducted with Shift Pro Inc's custom testing program for at least 30 minutes. Shift Pro Inc tests for leaks, lock-up, concentricity, and balance to eliminate the possibilities of front seal leaks, premature bushing wear, and vibration. Fully tested torque converter included. A newer Sony headunit with remote control and 4 speakers is installed. 1987 FORD STEP VAN WITH WALTCO LIFT GATE 2,200. All of them have individual switches and fuses in an overhead console. There are several adjustablespotlights mounted in the headliner and severalambient ropelights in an amber color run the length of the interior. It features 4 Captain chairs that swivel and recline and a rear benchseat (that also folds flat and converts into a bed) for 7 passengers total. The interior is the highlight, very clean, tasteful and comfortable. 
Has rear mountedfull size spare tire, stainless roof ladder and stainless roof luggage rack. All glass is also in good to very good condition condition. The exterior shows typical rust for a midwestern van of this vintage (please look at the pictures).

It was used a s a daily driver until July 2016. Tires are Kumho Road Venture and have about 25% left. Front brake pads, exhaust from the catalytic converters back and the steering linkage (tie rods) have been replaced in early 2016. Other than that EVERYTHING is working, Mechanically the vehicle is very sound and well maintained.

Power windows and cruise control stopped working recently at the same time, I suspect a bad ground (The passenger side window motor is less than a year old). The drivetrain is completely stock except for an MSD high output ignition coil. Furthermore it features the factory towing package option that includes an auxiliary transmission oil cooler, trailer hitch and the dual fuel tank option. It's equipped with the 5.0L (302 cui) sequential fuel injection V8 mated to a 4 speed overdrive automatic transmission (AOD). The van is based on the E150 XLT clubwagon.
